PASTORAL CARE AT
NORTHLAND LUTHERAN RETIREMENT COMMUNITY
Northland Lutheran Retirement
Community is served by a Chaplain. The Chaplain seeks to minister
to the spiritual needs of the residents and to keep before staff members
our mission to care for the whole person as people enter into the
community of care here at Northland.

Our ministry is a Word and Sacrament ministry. We offer opportunities
for Worship each Sunday morning at Luther Home Chapel at 10:15 a.m.
During the week there are a number of worship and study opportunities
provided in the Chapel and in the various sections of Luther Home,
Northland Village, and at Terrace Estates. Catholic Mass is celebrated each Wednesday
at 3:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 2:30 p.m. in the Luther Home Chapel.
Clergy from other congregations conduct services for their members, some
on a monthly basis, others on an occasional basis.
We seek to assist residents to maintain contact with their congregation
or parish by facilitating contact with their clergy and members of their
congregation. Clergy are notified of significant changes in the condition
of their resident or in the event of their death if at all possible.
We seek to foster continued growth in their spiritual life within the context
of their Christian or other religious tradition reflecting God’s love in
Christ as we are best able so to do.
